Why Do Children Need Nature?
Nature offers children a learning environment that is unlike any other—one that is active, engaging, and full of sensory experiences. Decades of early childhood education research tell us that time spent outdoors enhances a child’s physical, social, and mental well-being.
At WHOA! we supervise children in a natural, child-led setting because we believe this is how they learn best to focus, problem-solve, and be creative and resilient.
Is WHOA! a Good Fit For My Child?
It goes without saying that being outdoors comes with risks, which we know are excellent learning moments for children. As such, WHOA! has a few rules that must be followed because safety for every participant is our very first priority.
Practicing safety starts with rule number one: Stay Together!
As teachers, we have years of experience providing guidance and opportunities to follow rules, so we are willing to work with your child. However, if you wonder or worry that your child will not be able to follow this rule, listen to the teachers, or be able to respect other boundaries, WHOA! may not be the best option for your child.
